Roku Gets What You Won’t Find on an Apple TV or Google Overview
Roku is a little box that enables you to access over 1,000 channels and entertain yourself by streaming content directly from the internet. As long as you have a high-speed internet in you home, it’s up to you what you want to watch, and when you want them.

All you need are a TV, HDMI cable for high definition, and a Broadband Internet connection with a Wi-Fi router. Then just plug your Roku box in, add it to network and get ready to enjoy your time. You have to go through a small registration at Roku’s website and create an account. After that you go to the channel store and browse the wide selection of channels.

Roku has no hidden fees, you choose what you pay for and what you don’t. You can access hundreds of free channels, but some of these services do require an additional fees, such as Netflix requires a  $7.99 monthly fee just be able to use the service. Its free to stream it to Roku, but you have to pay for that service.

For those people who like internet generated content, there are channels on Roku just for that. If you are a Netflix customer, a Hulu Plus customer, or you are just too lazy to get out of your bed to log on Facebook, Roku is a wonderful device.

The Roku built-in headphone jack on remote is also considerate, so you can immerse  yourself in your own listening world without waking your spouse.
